At 4:05 PM, an earthquake with an initial magnitude estimated at 4.4 by the National Institute of Geophysics occurred. After the first earthquake of magnitude 4.6 in the afternoon, new earthquakes were recorded in Umbria.

Magnitude and Location of Recent Earthquakes

The National Earthquake Observatory provides real-time updates on the magnitude and location of earthquakes. The latest data shows that several earthquakes have occurred in the region recently:

  • 4.6 magnitude earthquake at 4:05 PM
  • 4.4 magnitude earthquake at 4:10 PM
  • 3.8 magnitude earthquake at 5:00 PM

Safety Precautions and Emergency Response

In the event of an earthquake, it's important to follow safety precautions and be prepared for an emergency response. Here are some tips:

  • Drop to the ground, cover your head and neck with your arms, and hold on until the shaking stops.
  • Stay away from windows, outside doors and walls, and anything that could fall, such as lighting fixtures or furniture.
  • If you are in a car, pull over to the side of the road and stop. Stay in the car and wait for the shaking to stop.
  • Be aware of aftershocks, which can occur in the days or weeks following an earthquake.
  • If you have any injuries, seek medical attention as soon as possible.
